Made slowly, used daily.

Hand-built and wheel-thrown stoneware. I like glazes that move in the kiln and forms that keep a little of my hands in them: wavy platters, low bowls, pieces meant for the middle of the table. your words

Held & Keeping

Urns and lidded jars, made by hand for someone you've lost. I started making these for my own family, and found that shaping something to hold a person is its own kind of care. Held are full-size urns, made to be displayed. Keeping are smaller jars for the people who'd like a part close by at home. your words

Letters & keepsakes

Folded like an envelope and made to hang: for dried flowers, a letter, a lock of hair or a small thing worth keeping. Made on their own, or alongside an urn.

    A conversation

No forms. We talk about the person: colours, places, what they loved.

  2. 02

    Held or Keeping

One urn to display, smaller jars so family can each keep a part, or both.

  3. 03

    Making

Thrown or hand-built, glazed, fired. I'll share photos along the way if you'd like them.

  4. 04

    Bringing it home

Delivered by hand where possible, with a sealed lid and care notes.

Smoke

Raku, barrel and pit-fired pieces, marked by flame, ash and whatever was burning alongside them. Pinks from copper and salts, blacks from smoke, crackle from the quick cool. Every surface is a record of one firing. your words
